HVH is a specialist
consulting company in the horticulture sector.
It was established in 1987, is based in
UK
, and works world wide. The company concentrates on working in commercial
developments, both directly for private sector clients and providing technical
expertise to Banks and other financing institutions, and in Development
Projects where there is a focus on enabling and developing commercial
production for domestic and export markets.
The company has experience of dealing with all issues, ranging from
strategic studies at sector and commodity level to commercial issues within an
individual enterprise. HVH has worked in more than 50 countries, and brings a
comprehensive understanding of the major international markets and the basis
of competitive advantage in the supplying origins.
Within horticulture, HVH bring technical expertise across the complete range
of crops. It has worked
extensively with fruits and nuts, cut flowers and foliage, the vegetables,
plantation crops, and has a particular specialisation in the spices and
essential oils, and medicinal plants and traditional medicine systems. The
company's philosophy is to be able to provide an integrated range of services
with expertise in each stage in the production/marketing chain, covering all
aspects of production, processing, and marketing, as well as design and
specification of processing and post-harvest handling facilities, and sourcing
of elite planting material. More recently, with the expansion of aromatics and
medicinals into the non-timber
forest products, organics and conservation fields, HVH has become involved in
these associated specialist fields.
